NIDHC’s Training & Education Directorate supports health operational readiness across the Military Health System, Joint Force, U.S. Government agencies, and partner nations. Courses are organized across three areas: Health Security Cooperation Education & Training, DoW Global Health Engagement (GHE), and disaster management through the Disaster Health Core Curriculum. Together, these efforts build practical capabilities for military and civilian partners.
As an International Military Education and Training–certified institution at USU, NIDHC delivers Health Security Cooperation training to partner nations worldwide. Courses are offered through in-residence programs and Mobile Training Teams, with instruction from subject matter experts across the DoW and the federal interagency.
NIDHC’s GHE training supports health operational readiness and interoperability by preparing U.S. personnel and select partners to plan, execute, and evaluate health-related operations, activities, and investments in international settings.
The Disaster Health Core Curriculum provides a competency-based foundation for disaster medicine and public health training. It guides instruction across domestic and international response organizations, with ongoing updates informed by lessons from COVID-19 and other recent events.
