The NIDHC Training & Education Directorate supports health operational readiness across the Military Health System, Joint Force, U.S. Government agencies, and partner nations. Our portfolio is organized into three primary pillars: Health Security Cooperation Education & Training (HSCET), Global Health Engagement (GHE), and the Disaster Health Core Curriculum. Together, these programs build essential capabilities for both military and civilian stakeholders.

As an International Military Education and Training–certified institution at USU, NIDHC delivers Health Security Cooperation training to global partners. These courses are executed via in-residence programs and Mobile Training Teams (MTTs), leveraging the expertise of subject matter specialists from the Department of War and the federal interagency.

Our GHE training optimizes interoperability by preparing U.S. personnel and select partners to plan, execute, and evaluate health-related operations and investments in international settings. This ensures that health activities are aligned with strategic objectives and operational requirements.

The Disaster Health Core Curriculum provides the competency-based foundation for modern disaster medicine and public health training. This curriculum guides instruction across domestic and international response organizations, incorporating critical lessons learned from COVID-19 and recent global events to ensure practitioners remain prepared for the next crisis.

Furthermore, NIDHC hosts an extensive array of conferences, summits, and lectures, offering internships and diverse educational opportunities for learners across the professional and academic spectrum.
