PEERS (Practitioner Education, Exchange, and Resource Sharing) #13- DIMO to USU-NIDHC: The Next Era of Health Security Cooperation Education and Training

Join us for PEERS #13 as we reflect on the legacy of the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Defense Institute for Medical Operations (DIMO) and introduce its successor, the Health Security Cooperation Education and Training (HSCET) program at the Uniformed Services University’s National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (USU-NIDHC). As DIMO transitions its mission to USU-NIDHC by October 1, 2026, Dr. Matthew Dolan, former Program Director and long-time champion, will share highlights of DIMO’s impact on building partner capacity over its remarkable 20-year mission run. The session will then pivot to the future with the launch of USU-NIDHC’s HSCET program. Col Geoffrey Oravec, NIDHC’s Director of Training & Education, will discuss how DIMO’s impressive legacy will carry forward through USU and NIDHC, alongside newly introduced components in this next iteration of health security cooperation education and training.
