This educational series is a collaboration effort between the University of Massachusetts’ Division of EMS and Disaster Medicine, the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).

Dr. Haitham Al Hakmani and Dr. Heejun Shin will share practical lessons on disaster leadership, hospital preparedness, healthcare system resilience, and translating disaster medicine training into real-world practice.

This session will equip participants with practical strategies to strengthen preparedness, lead effectively during crises, and build more resilient healthcare systems.
